As a Registered Nurse (RN) you have a very versatile job in the healthcare industry and continue to grow every day. The DuBois Nursing Home is looking for someone who is seeking a career in a skilled nursing facility to become a fundamental member of our Resident Centered Care Team!
Some of the job functions include the supervision of daily operations of the nursing staff to help achieve a positive resident experience and to provide our residents with a safe and caring atmosphere.
The ideal candidate should exhibit clear communication skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, high ethical standards, and a team working attitude.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Make daily resident visits to observe and evaluate the resident’s physical and emotional status.
- Notify the resident’s physician and family when there is a change in the resident’s condition and provide appropriate care and follow through with physician orders.
- Round with physicians.
- Monitor medications, treatments, and IV Therapy to assure proper administration as ordered and scheduled.
- Provide direct nursing care as necessary.
- Ensure that all nursing personnel are following their respective job descriptions.
- Give and receive nursing report at shift change.
