MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION PROGRAM: DuBois Village offers training to Personal Care Aides who desire to become a Personal Care Med-Tech. The responsibility of a trained Med-Tech is to provide assistance with the personal care needs of our residents and become trained to administer medications through the Medication Administration Program offered by the Bureau of Human Services and Licensing.
General Duties and Responsibilities Include: What does a Personal Care Aide Do? A personal care aide is an individual who assists in the daily care of our residents. The care aide is responsible for monitoring resident status and assisting with daily living activities as required and needed.
A personal care aide will ensure that our residents are safe and cared for at all times. They supervise residents and monitor their reactions to medications. They are also responsible for taking and tracking vital signals and helping with personal hygiene, along with the laundering of resident’s linens, towels and their personal clothing.
